Bulletin Board: Registration ongoing for Bridge of Flowers Classic

Registration for the 44th annual Bridge of Flowers Classic is still ongoing.
The race is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 in Shelburne Falls. Runners can either sign up for the 3-kilometer run, which begins at 8 a.m., or the traditional 8K course, with that race getting underway at 9 a.m.
The cost to run the 3K is $25 for adults, $15 for those under 18 and free for anyone over 70. The cost for the 8K is $35 for adults, $25 for those 18 and under and free for those 70 and older.

Franklin Tech Summer League
Frontier 47, Greenfield 37 — Harper Modestow scored 12 points, Olivia Machon tossed in nine points, Whitney Campbell tallied eight points, Elsa Brown finished with six points while Claire Kirkendall added five points in the Redhawks’ Franklin Tech Girls Summer Basketball League victory over the Green Wave at Franklin Tech on Tuesday.
Tayler Bergeron scored 19 points, Anna Bucala finished with 14 points while Annie Cobileanschi and Ella Rotkiewicz each had two points for Greenfield.
Mahar 45, Athol 20 — Hayden Comeau put up 19 points, Julia Hatch scored seven points, Thea Whitmore recorded four points while Jayiah Eady and Taylor Paluk each had two points in the Sens win on Tuesday.

DRIVE League
Ben Kearney scored nine points to help propel Athol to a 44-38 win over Hatfield in a boys varsity contest in the DRIVE League at Greenfield High School on Tuesday.
Garrett Willard led Hatfield with 13 points.
After, Oscar Korson and Dawson Wheeler both scored 12 points in Brattleboro’s 84-33 win over Franklin Tech. Jaxon Silva led the Eagles with eight points.
The final game on Tuesday saw Trevor Canon-Smith put up 19 points to propel Easthampton past Hampshire, 56-49. Isiah Isa scored eight points for the Raiders.
K of C League
Chris Ray and Mike Morin tied for the top point quota of plus-7 in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial on Wednesday.
Rich Heath and Wayne Lacey tied for third with scores of plus-5. Al Ghiz won closest to the pin on No. 7 (three feet, zero inches) while Drew Powell won on No. 9 (10-3). John O’Reilly, Matt Smith, Bob Bourbeau and Rod Demers won skins.
Greenfield Tennis Cup
The Greenfield Tennis Cup, which has been postponed multiple times due to weather, is now scheduled for this Saturday, July 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the Beacon Clay Courts in Greenfield.
The tournament has separate men’s and women’s divisions and is open to all ages high school and above. It is a round robin tournament and tennis balls will be provided. The deadline to register is July 19 at 6 p.m. To register, call Rick Miner at 413-824-1695.
