Bulletin Board: Greenfield Adult Rec Tennis League seeking players

The Greenfield Adult Rec Tennis League is looking for players, with the league beginning on May 22 at the red clay Beacon Tennis Courts in Greenfield. 

There will be a mixer on May. 21 at 4 p.m. The league involves playing one singles match per week, with you and your opponent setting up a mutually agreeable time to play. Matches are best of three sets. Depending on the number of players there will be divisions based on availability. 

For information on the Greenfield Tennis Association and its events, see the website (greenfieldtennis.blogspot.com). The league is $25 for Greenfield residents and $35 for non-residents.

Pat Viencek, Cody Booska, Parker Hickey and Sean Hanley shot the low gross of 57 in a Kiwanis Outing at the Country Club of Greenfield on Monday. 

Bill Buck, Craig Sessions, Dan Jones and Dave Cote shot the low net of 53. Sue O’Connor, Bill Luippold, Nancy Robie and Al Dedinas had the low gross of 66 in the Mixed Division while Stephan Smith, Jane Smith, Charles Peters and Joanne McGowan had the low net (57). 

Kyle Dumas (five feet, nine inches) and Sue Mailloux (36-6) won closest to the pin on No. 2 while Jim Alexander and Nancy Robie won longest drive on No. 3.

Mia Beckwith knocked three hits while Savannah Thomas and Adie Abercrombie each tallied two hits for Pristine Orientals in a 0-0 tie with Franklin First on Monday. 

Dani Zraunig had three hits while Adeline Ebbinghausen and Rebekah Grant boht had two hits for Franklin First.

Julian Bowden Smith had two doubles and an RBI, Asa Stebbins homered and Jaiden Lapointe struck out 17 in Booska Flooring’s 7-4 win over TFAC on Monday. 

Evan Wright had a hit and an RBI while Grady Deery doubled for TFAC. 

GMLB

Collin Winslow had two doubles and a single, Jovani Borgos knocked two hits that brought in four runs while Sam Lawler and Noah Foote hit safely in New Fortune’s 14-5 win over Bobby C’s on Monday. 

Eli Skinder doubled while Elias Tripp and Damien Shields hit safely in the loss. 

■ Also on Monday Ethan Burgh pitched while Amasa Shippee, Aaron Meuse and Xaviay Reynolds scored runs in Maniatty’s 11-4 win over Gilmore and Farrell. 

Bryce Zraunig struck out seven, Carter Malouin knocked three hits and Teddy McCarthy singled for Gilmore and Farrell. 

■ Later on Monday Christian Powell tallied three hits while Mason Deome and Brayden Parody each had two hits in Rotary Clubs 17-10 win over Pioneer Valley Tire. 

Xavier Woodward had two hits while Paul Budravich singled for PV Tire. 

■ On Sunday Phil Brodeur had a pair of hits and RBIs while Ryan Turner knocked two hits and drove in four runs in Smitty’s Pub’s 11-6 win over Denny’s Pantry. 

Ben Shivone scored twice and Aaron Turner had two hits in the loss. 

■ In AAA action on Sunday Christian Powell struck out nine and had three hits, Brody Gilbert had three hits and Mason Deome hit safely to help Rotary Club to a 15-9 win against Smitty’s Pub. 

Adrian Lopez and PJ Brodeur both had three hits while Preston Charboneau and Ryan Turner each had hits for Smitty’s.

■ Elsewhere on Sunday Conner Bergeron picked up the save, Osiah Ballard struck out six while Topher Miller, Jose Colon-Martinez and Isaac Tripp each had a hit in Maniatty’s 4-2 win over Gilmore and Farrell. 

Bodie Burke and Casey Burke each had a hit and Bryce Zraunig scored two runs in the loss. 

■ Later on Sunday Ben Woodard hit a home run and singled, Paul Budrawich had two hits and Fischer Williams struck out seven in Pioneer Valley Tire’s 10-10 tie with Aubuchon Hardware. 

Liam Bassett had three hits and struck out five, Wyatt Wilkins had three strikeouts, Zuri Wing drove in a run with a single and Jaydyn Howard played well on defense for Aubuchon.
