Bulletin Board: CCG hosts Volunteer Day Scramble

Tom Schneider, Joe Viadero, Ernie Patnode, Scott Lyman and Bob Perkins placed first with a low gross score of 33 in the Volunteer Day Scramble at the Country Club of Greenfield on Thursday. 

Bill Wardwell, Jim Bassett, Peter Jenkins and Gordon Parker tied for second with Roy Emerson, Barry Dow, Daniel Bassett and Doug Finck after both groups posted gross scores of 34. 

Top Notch Camp

Top Notch Summer Camp Series is holding its camp this June and July at Frontier High School. 

The all-girls basketball camp will run from June 26-30. Top Notch will also host two all sports camps, the first running from July 17-21 and the second from July 24-28.

Post 81 tryouts

The Post 81 American Legion baseball team, which features both a senior and junior squad, will be holding registration and tryouts on May 6, 7 and 13, all taking place at 1 p.m. at Vets Field in Greenfield. 

The senior team is for those who are 19 and under by Dec. 31, 2023 while the juniors must be 17 and under by Dec. 31, 2023. Players from all Franklin County schools are eligible to try out, and those from previous Post 81 teams must still try out to be eligible. Players are asked to bring a glove, cleats and their original birth certificate.
