Montague’s Dominic Emery continues to shatter his own Massachusetts state powerlifting records.

Emery — who already held the Massachusetts bench press record in the open 148 pound division — broke his own mark last weekend at an event in Oakdale, CT after putting up 300 pounds in the bench. That mark beat his previous high of 285 pounds.

Scott Schneider and Kendall Schneider rolled the high single (116) and triple (295) in Sunday Scotch Doubles at the Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley this past week.

In the Monday Mixed League Holly Brown had the women’s high single (115), Missy Finn rolled the women’s high triple (283), Kyle Leger had the men’s high single (112) and Ben Cerone rolled the men’s high triple (309). Jan Cole had the women’s high single (102) and triple (291) while Erich Price rolled the men’s high single (118) and triple (330) in the Wednesday Mixed League.

In the Thursday Mixed Social Rachel Dodge tallied the women’s high single (121) and triple (296) while Ray Dodge had the men’s high single (115) and triple (325).

Berkshire Highlands Pentathlon

The Berkshire Highlands Pentathlon is returning to Charlemont in April.

The Pentathlon is scheduled to take place on April 1 at Berkshire East Mountain Resort. The race includes five events: a 4.5-mile trail run, an 18-mile bicycle road ride, a two-mile paddle, a two-mile adventure run and a two-mile adventure run and climb down the ski mountain. Participants can choose to complete the course as a team or solo.

Nearly 200 athletes participated last year, with 60 signed up for the 2023 event so far. There will be food and raffle prizes to winners in each category. There is a discounted entry fee for family teams and under-19 entrants.

Online registration is available now at BikeReg.com. Race day registration will be available, with the race still looking for volunteers. This year’s benefactor is the Mary Lyon Foundation.
