Bulletin Board: Aubuchon captures GMLB AAA title

The GMLB AAA championship series wrapped up on Thursday, with Amasa Shippee and Jed Niquette splitting pitching duties to lead Aubuchon Hardware to an 11-5 win over Smitty’s, sealing the series 2-1 for Aubuchon. 

10 Aubuchon players tallied hits in the win and seven different players scored runs. Logan Batiste and Madax Shurman both cracked doubles in the victory. 

Ben Shivone, Aaron Turner, Isaac Tripp and Liam Bassett each had a hit during a big third inning rally for Smitty’s. 


Owen Babb knocked a pair of hits including a triple to help lift the Frontier Mantle team to a 12-3 win over Springfield on Friday. 

Aidan Heffernan and Philip Morin each had a hit and two RBIs while Dylan Camp had a hit and an RBI in the victory. 


Brady Burch found the back of the net twice while John Santiago, David Gray, Chanmin Son, Ben Cachiguango, David Pettnato and Shane Prusak also scored to lead Frontier to an 8-0 win over Ludlow B on Thursday. 


Greenfield Elks

After week eight of the Greenfield Elks Golf League at the Country Club of Greenfield, Gary Noga and Randy Bernard sit in first place with 41 points. 

Joe Ruggeri and Mike Ruggeri are in second with 40 points while Keith Schempp and Dave McDonald are in third with 39 points. 

Adult softball

David Martin knocked a pair of home runs and four RBIs, Seth Aldrich had a triple and two doubles and Joe Geary had three hits to lift Tavern of South Deerfield to a 24-6 win over Hot L on Friday. 

Jason Sikorski and Brian Sicard both hit home runs in the loss.
