The Four Rivers middle school ultimate team achieved a state championship over the weekend.
The Otters won four games over the weekend and capped it off with a 13-11 win over Amherst on Sunday in Northampton to take home the state title.
Kolin Broderick, Cooper Whitney and Sylvia Guillaume all had strong weekends to help Four Rivers lift the title.

The team of Mark Waskiewicz, Jonathan Holly, Dan Sullivan and Warren Hayden took first place with a score of 6-under in a Crumpin-Fox Member Guest Tournament that was a 1 Best Ball Gross + 1 Best Ball Net format.
Chris Stoddard, Robert Laspina, Nick Stoddard and Joel Anderson took second (1-under) and Guy Ardrey, Jim Ardrey, Robert Haigh and Jacob Morris took third (even).
In closest to the pin, Anderson won on No. 3 (27 feet, three inches), Bud Zukowski won on No. 9 (23-11) and Richard Card won on No. 11 (10-9).

The 17th Greenfield Senior Open Championship is taking place on Friday, June 24.
The age divisions are 50-64 and 65-plus. The cost is $25 for members and $52 for non-members which includes the green fee and prizes. There is an option for skins and closest to the pin contests.

Sammi Suhl knocked five hits while Mila Phelps had four hits to propel Franklin First to a 3-2 win over Gilmore and Farrell on Monday in a Nippers contest.
Tianna Valdez had four hits while Charley Dean tallied three hits for Gilmore and Farrell.
