Bulletin Board: Athol baseball falls in season finale

The Athol baseball team’s season came to a close on Friday, falling to Drury 6-0 in a non-playoff game in North Adams. 

Connor Mahony, Dilan Fountain, Logan Hume and Shea Brennan each tallied a hit for the Bears in the loss. 

O’Sullivan takes 22nd at NCAA’s

Westfield State’s Amy O’Sullivan closed out her career with the Owls on Thursday, placing 22nd in the 10,000 in the NCAA Div. 3 Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. 

The Greenfield High School graduate completed the race in a time of 38:44.95. 

CCG Youth Golf Camp

The Country Club of Greenfield will host its youth golf game Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30.

The camp will be capped at 25 children on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited. The fee is $165 ($165 for first family member, $135 for each additional family member).

The camp hours are 9 a.m. until noon each day. PGA Golf Professional Kevin Piecuch, who has over 30 years of experience, will lead the camp. Piecuch was named US Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teachers Honorable Mention. Assistant Golf Professional Josh Cook, who is also the head coach at Greenfield High School and a graduate of the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is also one of the lead instructors.
