Rian Farrell had a pair of doubles and a single, Aurora Reynolds had three hits and Emma Prasol knocked a pair of hits to lead the Greenfield Elks to a 10-1 win over Freedom Credit Union on Friday in a Greenfield Girls Softball League Nippers contest.
Samantha Rider and Shaye Tyler each had three hits in the loss.

Gary Noga and Randy Benard sit second while Frank McDonald and Art Belanger are third. Closest to the pin on No. 2 was Jamie Bozek while Dave McDonald was closest on No. 5.
Adult softballMike Cole knocked four hits while Bob Badillo and Jacob Christi each had three hits to lead the Liberty Tax Sharks to a 15-8 win over Business and Pleasure on Friday.
Josh Lashway dinged four hits while Adam Bastarache and Dan Drumgool each had two hits in the loss.
Franklin County Summer Softball League Registration for the Franklin County Summer Softball League is underway.
The season runs from June 20-Aug. 4, with games on Mondays and Wednesdays. The cost is $100, which covers umpire fees, jersey, socks and softballs (players will be required to have their own pants and belts). The registration fee must be paid by the registration deadline, June 3.
The league is open to any girls entering grades 8-12 in Fall of 2022. The 10-game regular season is followed by a single elimination playoff. Players will be distributed evenly among the number of teams. Pitchers will be distributed evenly to make sure they’re all receiving innings in the circle throughout the summer. High school umpires will call the games.
