Bulletin Board: Benoit, Carroll win Crumpin Fox Senior Open

Dan Benoit and Rich Carroll shot the low gross of 72 at the Crumpin Fox Senior Open 2 Ball Tournament on Wednesday. 

Jon Shea and Robert Shea took second with a 74. Carl Hoynoski and Dean Desreuisseau finished with the low net of 65 followed by the pairings of Tim Brandl and Mike Duclos and William Morris and Tom Frechette, who each carded a net 68. 

Dan Benoit and Rich Carroll (2), Brandl and Duclos, Scott Cote and Dennis Booska and Morris and Frechette all won skins. 

Thomas Memorial 

Rick Greene finished with the top point quota of plus-11, followed by Bob Wondoloski (plus-9) and Brian Browning (plus-8) in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial this past week. 

Ron Lenois Jr. won closest to the pin on No. 7 (four feet, nine inches) while Browning won it on No. 9 (seven feet, eight inches). Steve Call and Greene won skins. 

Youth softball

Tri-County League

Ryleigh Gordon had two hits and drove in a run for the Northfield Cougars, which dropped a tight 14-12 decision to Brattleboro in a Tri-County League softball game on Wednesday in Brattleboro.

Greta Lewis pitched two innings for Northfield, striking out two, while Kalyn Barry also struck out a pair in an inning of work.

Brattleboro’s Caylen Morse struck out two in the circle, while Maddy Sprague had three hits and Anastasia Moshovetis also had three hits and an RBI.

GGSL

Rian Farrell roped two doubles, a single and three RBIs, while Alexis Malek had two hits and Emma Prasol added an RBI to aid the Greenfield Elks in a 4-0 win over Precision Driving School in action on Wednesday night.

Precision was led by Ivy Bettencourt (three hits) and Alaina Toothaker (two hits).

Gilmore & Farrell 8, Emblem Club 6 (Wednesday)

Gilmore: Evelyn-Mae Eldridge (3 hits), Tianna Valdez (5 hits), Charley Deane (4 hits).

Emblem: Leah Batiste (double), Grace Myers (3 hits), Paisley Beck (3 hits).

Camelot 10, Greenfield Garden Cinema 4 (Tuesday)

Camelot: Olivia Lemay (2 home runs), Madison Lemay (home run), Hannah Lunt (hit), Miley Frey (hit), Kayden Viencek (hit), Annie Cobileanschi (hit)

Garden: Mia Shaw (13 strikeouts), Katelyn Chabot (pitched)

Pipione’s 19, Descavich Plumbing 12 (Tuesday)

Pipione’s: Autumn Thornton (nine strikeouts), Carson Farrell (two hits), Max Luippold (hit), Destiny Rodriguez (hit).

Descavich: Abby Moffatt (two hits), Ella Rotkiewicz (two hits), Carlee Vera (hit)

Youth baseball

Newt Guilbault

Jordan Sullivan Paulino and Chase Greene each hit home runs, Grady Deery had an RBI triple and Elijah Sullivan-Paulino struck out 18 to propel Turners Falls Athletic Club to an 8-4 win over Greenfield Savings Bank on Wednesday. 

Everett Eichorn had three hits while Trevor Lyons had three hits and an RBI while also striking out eight on the mound for GSB. 

Adult softball

Wayne Carter, Luis Melendez, Ricky Craver and Kat Chabot each had three hits in Thayer Street Builders 24-6 win over the Liberty Tax Sharks on Wednesday. 

Bobby Badillo and Abbe O’Connor each had two hits in the loss. 

Ralph’s Blacksmith 13, Stonewall 9 (Wednesday)

Ralph’s: Matt Orrell (pitched well, 5-for-5, 3 runs), Casey Hoffman Jr. (5-for-5, 3 runs).

Stonewall: Jackie Barisano (2-for-5, 2 runs), Brody Markol (3-for-4, 3 runs)
