Franklin County YMCA Tumbling Tigers impress at state meet

The Franklin County YMCA Tigers competed in the 2022 Tri-State YMCA Gymnastic Championship in Saugus earlier this month, competing with over 300 gymnasts from nine YMCA’s. 

The Tigers took first in Level 2 and took away second place team awards in Xcel Silver and Xcel Gold. 

In Level 2 ages 8-9, Grace Baronas took first on bars, beam, vault and all-around while also tying for second on the floor. Nina Kawar tied for third on bars and took third on the beam, Aurora Footot finished third on the floor and Evemarie Page placed third in all-around. 

Lissandra Taylor placed first on bars and all-around, second in vault and beam and third on floor in Level 2 ages 10-11. Myaa Reed took first on vault and floor and second in all-around while Ella Shaw-Jarvis placed first on beam. Kyra Tamsin won the vault, beam, floor and all-around and took second on bars in Level 2 ages 12-plus. 

Ella Towne placed first on bars and all-around while taking second on beam and floor in Xcel Silver ages 9 and under. Arya Snir tied for first on vault and bars, took first in floor and all-around and took second on beam in Xcel Silver ages 10 and 11. Olive Kraus tied for first on the beam, tied for third on vault and placed third on bars and all-around. 

In Xcel Gold ages 11 and under, Anna Sullivan took first on the floor and in Xcel Gold age 12, Virginia Krezmien took second on floor and third in all-around.

Anna Carlson-Belanger tied for third on vault and bars and placed third in all-around, Shelby Senn took first on bars and tied for second on floor while Ava Garappolo tied for second on floor and took second in all-around in Xcel Gold age 14. In Xcel Gold ages 15-plus, Alex Wilga took first on bars, floor and all-around and took third on beam. 

Abbygail Lenois took first on beam, second on floor and all-around and third on vault while Angelina Ayrapetyan took third on bars and beam in Level 6 age 12 and under. In Level 8 ages 16 and under, Grayson Bowse took first on vault, beam, floor and all-around and took third on bars.
