Bulletin Board: Travel Kuz edges Hubie’s in touch football

A touchdown pass from Malcolm Smith to Shane Andrews, followed by an extra point, was the lone scoring in the game as Travel Kuz defeated Hubie’s Tavern, 7-0, in a Greenfield Men’s Touch Football League game played at Green River Field on Sunday.

Justin Fox and Sunny Lucas had strong games on defense, with Fox snagging an interception. 

Brody Markol had two interceptions while Chris Lemay and Alex Bourassa had good games in the loss. 

• Parker Hickey ran for a pair of touchdowns, threw for a touchdown and added two extra points in Sirum’s 28-6 victory over Frosty’s Raiders. 

Chris Hart caught a touchdown pass and added an extra point and Andy Wrobolewski returned an interception to the house in the victory. 

Tim Boryzka and Mac Perry had interceptions for Frosty’s, while Steven Torres had the lone touchdown on the day. 

• Taylor’s Tavern shutout Wormtown Trading, 36-0, behind three touchdown passes and a touchdown run from Nick Aldrich. 

Jalen Sanders was on the receiving end on a pair of touchdown passes, with Pete Loguie catching the other on a 14 yard strike. 

Jordan Markham returned an interception for a touchdown, while Chris Arsenault, Aldrich and Loguie each added extra points. 

For Wormtown, Cerious LeMoss had three sacks while Ricky Craver and Kimie Taylor played well in the loss. 

High schools

Mahar JV soccer

The Mahar Regional girls soccer team tied with Gateway, 2-2, on the road on Monday.

Brynn Adams had a goal and an assist for the Senators.

Cassidy Boutell’s goal gave Mahar a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes left in the game before the Gators tied it.

Audrey Danielson added an assist with Sara Simon and Baylee Rousseau sharing time in net. 


CCG Women’s League

Chris Eugin had the top score in the Patty Berg Flight, shooting a 38 in a Pick up Sticks game in the Women’s 9 Hole League at the Country Club of Greenfield on Tuesday. 

Sherry Chaffee was second with a 44. 

Margo Worden took first in the Nancy Lopez Flight with a 42, followed by Liz Archer and Lora Gross who each shot a 46. 

In the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Lori Grover was the top scorer with a 52, with Lisa Sullivan and Dawn Bete, Tami Gaylor and Linda Lively tying for second with each shooting a 53. 

Ellen Bitzer shot a 49 to win the Juli Inkster Flight, with Michelle Hazlett (52) taking second. 

In the Joanna Carner Flight, Barbara Laczynski was the stop scorer with a 50, with Kim French and Karen Kaczenski tying for second with each shooting a 56. 

Emily Simmons was the winner of the Annika Sorenstom Flight with a 55, followed by Ruth Anne Weissman with a 61. 

• Later at the Country Club of Greenfield, Linda Petrozzi shot the top gross score (32) in the A-flight in a Best 9 Holes game in the 18 Hole Women’s League. 

Sally Roberts had the top net score of 27.5. 

In the B Flight, Kathy Nicoll had the top gross score of 40 and Dianne Wood had the top net score of 24.5. 

Edge Hill Men’s

Ronnie Parker finished with the top point quota in the A-Division of the Edge Hill Country Club Men’s League on Tuesday, shooting a plus-4. 

Mark Eaton had the low gross score of 38 and Parker had the low net score of 31. 

Parker won closest to the pin on No. 16 (six feet), while Mark Graves was the second half winner with 17.5 points. 

In the B-Division, Wayne Clark had the top point quota (plus-7.5) and low net score (29). 

Junior Rivera had the low gross score of 42 while Charlie Plesnar was the second half winner with 17.5 points.
