ORANGE — The Orange Municipal Airport is gearing up to host the North Quabbin Cruisers’ Bob Harris Jr. Memorial Harvest Car Show on Sunday.

The event, going into its 31st year, is slated for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will include a craft fair and a swap meet.

“I like to have something else besides the car show for people to do,” said Pam Harris, president of North Quabbin Cruisers, the organization putting on the event. The show was named after her husband, the longtime organizer, shortly after he died in 2019.

All classic vehicles — cars, trucks and motorcycles — are welcome. The registration fee is $10. There is no charge for spectators.

“There will be a DJ coming and, hopefully, sunshine coming as well,” Harris said. She expects 250 to 300 vehicles, if the weather cooperates.

The event’s craft fair is for the first time being organized by Kim Pratt, who has run craft shows at Athol Town Hall for 10 years.

“Their original person didn’t want to do it anymore, so they contacted me,” she said on Thursday.

Pratt said vendors pay a $25 fee for a 12-by-12-foot space. There are a few spaces left and anyone interested in becoming a vendor should call her at 978-894-5386. Vendor fees will be donated to Relay For Life. Pratt said there will be at least 25 vendors.

She said organizing a craft fair requires months of planning, which includes sending out and tracking down vendor applications and making sure large companies don’t have multiple vendors present.

“[I’m] just hoping for good weather,” Pratt said.

Norman Sargent, who founded Grave Robbers Restoration at 8 West Main St. in August 2016, is running the car show’s swap meet for the first time.

“The swap meet is just geared toward auto parts,” he said. “There’s no specific years. If it’s auto-related … then it’s acceptable.”

Sargent said vendors pay $25 for a 20-by-40-foot space, and there are spots still available. Vendor fees from the swap meet portion will be donated to the Orange Trustees of Soldiers’ Memorials and the North Quabbin Cruisers’ scholarship fund.

Sargent said he has previously organized swap meets at Anne’s Dairy Drive-In.

At least 50 “Favorite Ride” plaques, sponsored by various businesses and individuals, will be awarded. In addition to the awards, there are at least 100 door prizes, which have been donated by individuals and businesses. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, a special gift raffle and a silent auction.

The event will also feature food sold by the Athol Lions Club, the Orange Lions Club, Shane’s Hot Dogs, Smokin’ Food Truck 51 and Pops Sweet-Harts Ice Cream Truck.
