SPRINGFIELD — A Bluetooth skimming device has been found inside a gas pump at a Massachusetts service station.

Thieves can use this technology to transmit card and pin information.

Police say it was placed inside the pump sometime after the last inspection by the city. They’re warning members of the public who visited the station between 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, to monitor credit card information.

The device has been removed. No victims have come forward. No further information is known from the Springfield Police Department on potential suspects.
