Bird sightings for week of Feb. 5 to Feb. 11

Here are this week’s bird sightings from the Voice of Audubon for western Massachusetts.

A redhead duck continues to be seen on the Lower Mill Pond in Easthampton.

A golden eagle was found in Egremont.

A Barrow’s goldeneye continues to be reported on the Connecticut River in Agawam.

A northern shrike was seen at the northern end of the Quabbin Reservoir.

A rough-legged hawk was reported in Amherst.

Three Iceland gulls and a lesser black-backed gull continue to be seen in Turners Falls.

An Iceland gull was found in Agawam.

A snowy owl continues to be reported in Hadley.

Two red crossbills continue to be seen in the town of Washington.

A flock of pine siskins was reported in Windsor, and a red-headed woodpecker continues to be seen in Northampton.
