For the ninth time in program history, the Frontier Regional School girls’ volleyball team captured a state championship Saturday afternoon.

The Red Hawks capped off their state title run with a convincing 25-11, 25-21, 25-15 sweep of Bourne High School in the MIAA Div. III championship at Worcester State University.

Lauren Davenport had 13 kills, Selayna Bathurst added 11 kills and Ella Deane recorded 28 assists to lead the way.

Frontier improved to 9-2 all-time in state championship matches.
