Greenfield, MA – Kevin Robert Tracy was born on September 17, 1972, in Springfield, Massachusetts to Robert and Jacqueline Tracy. He died on January 9, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a long illness.
Kevin graduated from the former Holy Trinity School, Pioneer Valley Regional School, Greenfield Community College and the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Physics. After graduation Kevin worked at Judd Wire and later at Bete Fog Nozzle for many years.
Kevin loved his family and could often be found at birthday parties and other family gatherings. Kevin loved camping and music festivals; he never missed a Wormtown festival which combined both of his favorite things to do. He was a member of the local ham radio club, call sign KC5KKS. He was a regular at the People’s Pint and was also a lifelong fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Kevin is survived by his parents who live in Dallas, Texas, his sister Monica McCarthy and her husband Dan of Greenfield. Also, his niece Cassandra McCarthy and nephew Matthew McCarthy both of Greenfield and two great nephews Joseph and Michael, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin’s honor can be made to Baystate Hospice at 30 Capital Drive in West Springfield, MA 01089 or the charity of your choice.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The family will have a calling hour from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Kostanski Funeral Home in Greenfield, followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00am and burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
