Neighbors: Young neighbor’s kind act on Valentine’s Day

Thursday, February 19, 2015

Hello neighbor. I learned of another act of kindness this past week — this time it was an 8-year-old girl from Erving. Eden Mast-Lippmann made, bagged and handed out more than 50 made-from-scratch heart-shaped Valentine cookies this year on Valentine’s Day. The home-schooler did the same last year and her mom, Molly Mast, said she has helped her daughter a little, but it has all been Eden’s idea. Eden traveled … 0

Neighbors: Stay safe in frigid temperatures

Monday, February 16, 2015

Hello neighbor. Spring is just 31 days away, but it may not seem that close because we continue to battle bitter cold temperatures and all of this white stuff. Earlier this month we saw the Full Snow Moon, named because February is typically the month where we see the heaviest snowfalls — I guess that’s the good news, if it holds true. On … 0

Hello neighbor. Happy Valentine’s Day! Every year at this time we exchange cards, candy, gifts and flowers with our special valentine s. We start early — my 3-year-old grandson Justin brought an entire bag of valentines to preschool this week just as I did many years ago. I remember the excitement of opening every card to see what I got — a Disney … 0
