BUCKLAND — Sequoia LeBreux of Shelburne Falls, a junior at Mohawk Trail Regional High, has won the statewide Helen Creeley Student Poetry Prize and will read her winning poems at the childhood home of renowned poet Robert Creeley, on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Acton. Her poems will open for the winner of the 15th annual Robert Creeley Award, poet Ron Padgett. LeBreux, who is 16, will also read Thursday morning to members of the student body of Acton-Boxborough Regional High, again opening for Padgett, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, with whom Sequoia will have lunch after the morning reading.
