GCC Foundation closing in on goal with three days left
GREENFIELD — With three full days left its in annual campaign, the Greenfield Community College Foundation is $46,000 away from its $800,000 fundraising goal.
“We’re very close to reaching our goal and I’m cautiously optimistic we can do it,” said President Robert Pura.
Regina Curtis, director of the foundation, said that while the foundation typically sees a lot of donations in the campaign’s final days, the organization is not taking a last-week surge for granted.
Campaign volunteers will make one final push in the coming days, reaching out to donors by mail, phone and email, she said.
For the second straight year, an anonymous donor has pledged to match gifts. First-time donations are tripled and returning donors are doubled, if they increase their gift by at least 10 percent from last year.
The campaign provides money for student programs and services at the two-year college.
