At home in a simple life: Philosophy put into action

Published on January 08, 2008

TURNERS FALLS -- The Winter Fare that some people are working to make happen next month got its inspiration, as so many ideas seem to, from a pint-sized woman with big ideas.

Reader comments:

It is a beautifully written article. Juanita Nelson and her life's partner, Wally, are two of the few people who philosophies make me feel there is something positive about a handful of the human race.

Thank you for the article!

I live in California and visited Turners Falls last year in October. I was so awed by it's beauty.....but most of all by the people.

California is a hard place to live if you are a artist and a somewhat of a recluse.

I am hoping to visit again as soon as I am able...and something tells me that I might one day live there.

Sincerely,

Kerry

What a wonderful person!

If Greenfield honored the few progressive people of this calibre living here, before they escape for better places, it would do the town so much good.

More kudos to this dignified elder lady. Greenfield, and all of Franklin County, could learn so much from her excellent example!

Less is More - Freedom is King - Kudos
