Good morning!
This Friday, four Boston-area athletes of seasons past -- linebacker Steve Nelson of the Patriots, Ken Hodge of the Bruins, Satch Sanders of the Celtics and Billy Conigliaro of the Red Sox --will be at Kulick's Market in Winchester, N.H., to sign autographs and talk sports.
''I don't charge for the autographs, but I expect people to bring a toy,'' said Kulick's owner Stanley ''Butch'' Plifka. ''Some bring cash, but it's the toys that pile up.''
Plifka's office is located behind the meat counter of the store his grandfather purchased a century ago. ''We're good,'' he said of the business. ''We're paying the bills. We go on quality and service and we don't try to beat the chain prices. We're a big sponsor in town, we donate to almost everything if it has to do with the kids.''
