Senators remain unbeaten, 40-12

[ Originally published on: Saturday, November 07, 2009 ]

TURNERS FALLS -- Just 10 offensive snaps into Friday night's game, the Intercounty League leaders had already assured that their hold on first place and unbeaten record would remain secure for at least another week.

Mahar Regional School put up three touchdowns in that span, leading 21-0 after one quarter and well on its way to a methodical 40-12 victory over Turners Falls High School at frosty Bourdeau Fields.

The Senators (8-0, 5-0 IL) got a combined five rushing touchdowns from their standout tandem of Isaiah Jones (three) and Brian Beauchemin (two). Jones finished with 152 yards on only six attempts and Beauchemin wasn't far behind with 10 carries for 142 yards.
