ASHFIELD -- Douglas M. Field, who narrowly lost his bid for a seat on the Selectboard at a special election on Oct. 20, said he won't ask for a recount.
'I sat down with my people and we realized it probably wasn't going to make a difference,' he said on Sunday afternoon.
However, he said he and others in town are organizing a group to monitor future elections to make sure the problems at Oct. 20's special election don't continue.
