Beverly A. Stratford

BERNARDSTON -- Beverly A. (Billings) Stratford, 79, of 387 Brattleboro Road, died Sunday afternoon (8-30-09) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield.

She was born on March 14, 1930 in Brattleboro, Vt., the daughter of Malcolm and Viola (Gaines) Billings. She was educated in Northfield schools and was a 1948 graduate of Northfield High School.

She was married to H. Stanley Stratford on Jan. 3, 1948 in Leverett.

Beverly was a member of the United Church of Bernardston.

She loved her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and walking.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years and her son, Derrell and his wife Eva Lee ''Tweet'' Stratford of Bernardston. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne Billings and his wife Gloria of Northfield, and her grandchildren, Bruce Stratford and his wife Becky of Templeton and Gina Glabach and her husband Rob of St. John's, Virgin Islands, and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Hayley, Olivia and Spencer Stratford, and twins, Gabrielle and Alexandra Glabach.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial at a later date will be in Farms Cemetery, Northfield.
