TURNERS FALLS -- Francis Robert Pleasant, 74, of 14 Coolidge Ave., died Thursday (7-23-09) at home.
Services, in celebration of his life, will be held Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 90 Seventh St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to take place at 10 a.m. The Rev. Stanley J. Aksamit, pastor, will be the celebrant. Rites of committal will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery with military honors to be provided by the Elite Patriot Honor Guard of the U.S. Air Force assigned to Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee.
Calling hours at the McCarthy Funeral Home, 14 Prospect St., will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Town of Montague Veteran's Memorial Fund, 1 Avenue A, Turners Falls, MA 01376 or to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway Street, Suite 2, Greenfield, MA 01301.
