BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -- Marjorie (Bonk) Faust, 100, of Brattleboro, formerly of Hinsdale, N.H., and Greenfield, Mass., died Monday (6-29-09) at Pine Heights Nursing Home in Brattleboro.
She was born in Gardner, Mass., on May 27, 1909, the daughter of Anthony and Amelia (Szykowska) Bonk. She attended local schools in Gardner and Conway and had been a resident of Greenfield for many years.
Marjorie was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, creative sewing and braiding rugs. She was an avid artist.
Her husband, Gotthold Faust, predeceased her in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. and his wife Joan of Surry, Maine, and Kenneth P. and his wife Dorothy of Greenfield; two sisters, Stella Kurkoski of Greenfield and Helen Pekenia of South Harwich, Mass.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on July 25 at 3 p.m. in Howland Cemetery in Conway.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
