Francis W. Eddy

FLORISSANT, Mo. -- Francis W. Eddy, 88, of Dresden, Maine, and Edgewater, Fla., formerly of Greenfield Road, Montague, Mass., died Oct. 28, 2009 at the home of his daughter in Florissant.

Born on Aug. 23, 1921 in Greenfield, Mass., he was the son of Thomas and Helen (Whitney) Eddy.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II, returning to Montague where he lived until retirement.

He is survived by two daughters: Rosealma Parmenter and her husband Raymond of Edgewater and Frances White and her partner Stephen McGinnis of Florissant; his grandson, Raymond Parmenter, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Frances Parmenter. He is also survived by his sister, Lillian Fiske and her husband Allen of Montague, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His wife of 66 years, Mildred (Cahill) Eddy, predeceased him on April 21, 2009.

He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.

A memorial service will be held in Edgewater.
