State DEP backs waterway projects in Northfield, Montague

Two Franklin County waterway projects -- in Northfield and Montague --have been recommended for funding by the state Department of Environmental Protection.

The Sawmill River and Four Mile Brook projects are among 11 recommended for the federally funded Non-point Source Competitive Grant program, at a cost of $2.2 million.
