Cheryl A. Fisher

ORANGE -- Cheryl A. (Noyes) Fisher, 60, of 519 East River St., died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at home, following an illness, with family at her side.

Born on Aug. 10, 1949, she was a daughter of Merrill and Virginia (Fox) Noyes and grew up in Orange, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in 1967.

Cheryl was married to Dalton Fisher for 31 years until his death on Nov. 10, 1999.

Cheryl worked at the Slencil Company in Orange for 28 years.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished her time with them as well as her friends. She especially enjoyed hiking and exploring the Quabbin Reservoir.

Cheryl was a member of the Orange United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Dalton Fisher Jr. of Orange; a daughter, Tammie Fisher of Shelburne; grandchildren, Brittany Fisher, Dustin Fisher and Heather Greene; sisters, Valerie Matusevich of Orange and Sandy Murphy of Wendell Depot, and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main St.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Julia Daley of the Orange United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in South Cemetery.
