Maddy Chmyzinski scored 35 points on Friday night and Turners Falls High School defeated McCann Technical High School, 56-34, in an independent girls’ basketball game in Turners Falls. The victory was the sixth of the season for the Indians, who continue to play well as they look to make a late-season push toward the tournament. “It was a good team win,” Turners Falls coach Ted Wilcox said. “I know it says that Maddy scored 35 points, but this was a good team win.” The 35 points are a new career high for Chmyzinski, who is now averaging 19.6 points per game.
