After dropping a triple-overtime heartbreaker Monday night, Frontier Regional School overcame a 3-point deficit in the final minute to edge Mahar Regional School, 50-49, in Hampshire League boys’ basketball play Thursday night at Goodnow Gymnasium in South Deerfield. The result moved both teams to 6-8 overall and 6-6 in the league. “This was a very emotional week for us,” offered Red Hawks head coach Ben Barshefsky. “We had a sloppy practice after the Pioneer game but the guys came back more focused the next day.
