Mahar Regional School is still finding ways to win, even if it isn’t exactly that pretty. The Senators, perhaps getting caught looking ahead to tonight’s showdown with longtime rival Athol High School, struggled with sloppy play but played solid enough defense to post a 42-21 win over Smith Academy in an independent girls’ basketball game Friday night at the Grzesik-Bixby Gymnasium Complex in Orange.
