Turners’ tournament hopes come to end

Turners Falls High School’s tournament hopes were ended by Frontier Regional School Saturday, when three second-half goals propelled the Red Hawks to a 3-0 independent field hockey victory at Bourdeau Fields in Turners Falls.

Rose Moscaritolo scored all three of Frontier’s goals, the first one unassisted 3:29 into the half. Sydney Judge assisted on her second goal at 9:25. Then Jordan Rowe had the helper on her final tally with 6:53 left.

Goalie Jaimee White kept Turners (6-8-2) in the contest by stopping 34 shots.

Indians head coach Megan Gilbert was ecstatic about White’s performance, and those of seniors Nichole Voudren and Kayla Drumgool. “(Jaimee) was awesome in goal. (Nichole) was spectacular, it was probably the best game I’ve seen her play in five years, and (Kayla) has played so well all year.”
