Duclos, Wave rout Mahar, 16-0

Mike Duclos fired seven shutout innings Monday afternoon and Greenfield High School knocked off Mahar Regional School, 16-0, in Hampshire League baseball action in Orange.

Duclos allowed two hits and three walks in the complete-game performance, striking out nine. The game remained tight until the fifth inning, when the Green Wave (4-0 overall, 2-0 HL) scored five times to make it 9-0. Greenfield added seven more in the seventh to blow the game open.

Duclos also paced the offense with a team-leading three hits and three RBIs. Jourdan York-Welcome finished with two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, while Zach Bartak doubled and plated two runs. Garrett Hudson, Jake Elwell and Luke Toritto each finished with two hits and one RBI. Kevin Luippold singled and plated two runs.

Buddy Boatwright and Ryan Arsenault had one hit apiece for the Senators (1-2, 0-2). Drew Patria suffered the loss, striking out five and walking two in five innings.

Pathfinder 15, FC Tech 4 — Pathfinder Regional High School scored seven times in the first inning and rolled to a 15-5 victory Monday over Franklin County Technical School in a Tri-County League baseball game in Three Rivers.

Branden Cavanaugh struck out five and walked five in the complete-game victory for the Pioneers (3-1, 1-1), receiving plenty of support early, with Pathfinder building a 12-1 lead after three innings. Austin LeClerc doubled twice and drove in three runs in the win, while Cavanaugh finished with three hits and one RBI. Trystan Davis finished with three hits in the win. Teammate Adam Kozlik finished with two hits and two RBIs.

Alec Milton doubled twice and plated three runs to lead the Eagles’ offense. Cody Booska added a double. R.J. Hubert added one hit and one RBI. Ethan Wickline suffered the loss with four strikeouts and two walks in three innings.

Franklin Tech (1-4, 0-3) travels to Smith Vocational & Agricultural High School Thursday at 11 a.m.

Boys’ tennis

Turners Falls 5, Sabis 0 — Turners Falls High School lost a total of nine games in five matches during a 5-0 Tri-County League boys’ tennis victory Monday over Sabis International Charter School, in Turners Falls.

Liam Ellis did not surrender a game to Nathan Reed at third singles for the Indians, earning a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Ken Leng was nearly flawless at second singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Joseph McDonald, while Summer Forest-Bulley took a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Collin Gerard at first singles.

Dennis and Alex Gheorghita earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Taariq Woods and Josiah Sanchez at first doubles. Spencer Hubert and Melvin Moreno registered a 6-3, 6-1 over Justin Green-Williams and Devin Bushey at second doubles.
