Bulletin Board: Erving trims Northfield, 8-6
Tyler Zilinski hit a two-run single in the fifth inning as the Erving Eagles defeated Northfield Blue, 8-6, in a Tri-County League Cal Ripken baseball game Monday night at Northfield Elementary School.
Jared Bergmann earned the win in relief with six strikeouts. Ryan Bergmann hit an RBI triple in the win, Jakob Burnett collected two hits, and Jacob Kozma and Gaelen Mast each had one hit.
Jacob Quinn and Josh Kirley combined for 15 strikeouts in the loss. Sean Damon doubled for Northfield, and Tyler Hunter had a hit.
Frontier Cal Ripken
Matt Como hit the game-tying RBI double to drive in Max Edwards in the bottom of the sixth inning and then stole home later in the inning to score the winning run as Paciorek Electric defeated Yankee Candle, 4-3, in a Frontier Cal Ripken baseball game at Memorial Field in South Deerfield on Monday.
Dylan Martin earned the mound win and got two hits, and DJ Dragecevich smacked a double. Jack Martin had his first hit of the year, while Ethan Machon and Porter Clancy singled.
Olivia Vecellio finished with two hits in the loss, and Ryan Huet had a hit.
Keith Broussard and Kyle Devlin combined on a three-hit shutout as New Fortune Restaurant defeated Gilmore and Farrell Insurance, 15-0, in a four-inning Greenfield Minor League Major Division baseball game Monday night at Lunt Field in Greenfield.
Grayson Funk belted a two-run home run in the win, while Mason Stafford went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Anthony Holmes finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Paige Loughman went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
• Elsewhere, Nate Sciandra pitched three strong innings and drove in three runs to lead Denny’s Pantry to a 13-4 win over Maniatty Real Estate.
Jack Loud singled, doubled and scored twice in the win, Julian Trenholm went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, and Evan Leaf plated four runs.
Hunter Drost pitched five solid innings of relief for Maniatty and also hit a solo home run. Dylan Wiles made a diving catch in center field.
• Finally, Nick Bresciano drove in two runs to help Greenfield Elks Lodge avenge an early-season loss to Smitty’s Pub with a 9-4 victory on Monday.
Troy Emond had two hits and three runs, and Zach Renaud added two hits. Jared Hart (five innings) and Emond (one inning) combined on a five-hitter in the win.
Kyle White had two hits and scored twice for Smitty’s, and Cam Baird added a hit.
Tiger Lebert 4-Ball
Nate Burdick and David Kennedy won Flight One of the Al “Tiger” Lebert Four Ball Golf Tournament over the weekend at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Dave Donoghue and Cody Booska came in second, and KC Finley and Chris McElligott took third.
In Flight Two, Pat McGuire and Bob Rainville took first place, Mike Kuchieski and Brodie Conant placed second, and Zak Kennedy and Tim Bond placed third. Brian Luippold and Mark Kennedy won Flight Three. Pat Varner and Jack Varner came in second, while Keith Poirier and Dick Nicol took third.
Al Woods and John Walker won via tiebreaker over Jack Killeen and Ed Pedruczny to win Flight Four, while Scott Lyman and Ike Purington took third. Kevin O’Connell and Matt Pitoniak won via tiebreaker over Cliff Porter and David Perlmutter to capture Flight Five, while Matt Zraunig and Gary Hicks came in third. Ernie Patnode and Peter Wood won via tiebreaker over JJ Kells and Mark Styspeck to win Flight Six, and Rich Peel and Forbes Byron came in third.
Women’s Ryder Cup
Nancy Donoghue and Sue Welenc shot a 81 to win low gross during the Holiday Women’s Ryder Cup at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Phyllis Canon and Teresa Varner came in second with a 82.
Mary McNally and Dianne Wood won low net with a 66. Betty Howe and Dianne Wood took second net with a 68.
Shane Foster and Matt Deane shot a 34 to win low gross during the Monday Night Skins League at the Northfield Golf Club.
Jon Adams and Bill Holbrook won low net with a 33. Adams was closest to the pin on both No. 6 and No. 7, hitting the ball to within 15 feet on both holes.
Mark K. Memorial
Mike Griffin, Don Parda, John Davis and Tamme Smith shot a 65 to win the Mark K. Memorial Mixed League Monday at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Gill.
Fred Llewelyn, James Fowler, Rod Duda and Brian Watrous came in second with a 66.
A wiffleball tournament to benefit the Turners Falls 12 and under Tournament Baseball Team will take place June 1 at 9 a.m.
Cost is $12 per person and teams must have a minimum of three players and a maximum of five. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of three games. There will be two divisions (14 and under, and Over 14).

The Tom Suchanek Baseball Classic Scholarship Golf Outing will take place on June 28 at the Country Club of Greenfield.
The tournament is a four-person scramble and costs $90 per player if registered prior to June 7, or $100 per player after that date. Entry fee includes 18 of golf with a cart as well as snacks, dinner and a door prize. Prizes will be awarded for Mixed Foursome score, low gross, now net, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole in one.

EDGE Summer Clinic
The EDGE Basketball Clinic will run in two sessions from June 30 until July 11.
The first session runs from June 30 until July 3 and the second session runs from July 7 through 11. Each day runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The clinic is open to players in grades 3 through 9 and costs $120 for the first week and $150 for the second week. Players attending both weeks will get $10 off per week and familys with multiple children attending will get the $10 per week discount. The objective of the clinic is to teach fundamentals, skills, concepts of basketball and to have fun.

DRIVE Hoops is running a number of summer basketball programs.
• The leagues featured are men’s, boys’ varsity, girls’ varsity, boys’ junior varsity, boys’ middle school, girls’ middle school, and boys’ grades 5 and 6.
• The 17th annual FCHC basketball clinic with John Hickey and Angelo Thomas will take place July 21 through 25 at Greenfield Middle School.
• The DRIVE Hoops Skills Academy with Angelo Thomas will run from July 28 through Aug. 1 at Hopkins Academy.
