ENGLEWOOD, Fla. -- Evelyn (Fuller) Abbey Goodale, 84, of Englewood, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in Port Charlotte. Formerly of Greenfield, Mass., and Swanzey Center, N.H., Evelyn had resided in Englewood for the past 26 years.
She was born in Corinth, Vt., Dec. 30, 1924.
Evelyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a good friend and was always willing to help others. We will miss her.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Robert Goodale Sr. of Englewood; three daughters, Donita Duprey of Englewood, Robin Casey of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kathleen Hoctor of Turners Falls, Mass.; three stepchildren, Robert Goodale Jr., Lawrence Goodale and Alice Barrows, all of Swanzey Center; a brother, Kenneth Fuller of Newbury, Vt.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, Roger Abbey.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
