Letter: Upset over coverage
Once again, The Recorder has failed the local women’s sports fans in the April 1 edition. What an April Fools joke on us.
There is a very nice front page of the sports section story about the men’s NCAA final four winners and injuries incurred to get there.
However, there is only one thin line, Louisville 82 Baylor 81, for one of the biggest women’s NCAA upsets in history.
Instead of using a very large space to list every men’s major league baseball team and their 000 stats, you could have done a very small story about the women’s NCAA Baylor-Louisville game. Baylor came back from a 19-point deficit to take the lead only to end up losing by one point in the final seconds of the game, thus ending the college career of Britany Griner, one of the best NCAA women’s basketball players in history and spoiling her chances to break any more records.
