Letter: Brown qualified
Just before Scott Brown was elected to the U.S. Senate in January 2010, I wrote a letter of support in The Recorder noting his experience in Massachusetts: assessor and selectman in the Town of Wrentham, representative and senator in the General Court and JAG lawyer in the National Guard, now with the rank of “Bird” colonel as head defense attorney for the New England states.
I have watched his even-handling of matters affecting Massachusetts and believe he understands and represents very well the broad interests of our state. This fellow has now served in the governmental trenches at all levels and is by far, in my opinion, not only the best candidate, but is most deserving of re-election to the U.S. Senate. He may be a registered Republican and out-numbered by Democrat enrollees, but independents out-number members of both parties.
I encourage all to look beyond the hype and spin and check out the records and qualifications of the candidates.
