Letter: Oops!

Egads, I’ve upset Tom Tolg and Dave Pratt! Mr. Tolg was right (talk about an oxymoron) that my use of the adverb “inadvertently” was opinion-based which, I might add, was printed on The Recorder’s OPINION page ... where opinions are welcomed.

Mr. Pratt asked the following question? “How does one slaughter inadvertently?” How should I know? Perhaps an answer can be found in President Obama’s lengthy explanation on how his drones slaughtered innocent people.

On Jan. 14, the President told the nation and I quote: “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone.” Did I not know that or had I made an inadvertent assumption? My linguistic attitude may be the result of reading too many Tim Blagg and Gary Sanderson columns.
