Letter: Much ado about a little
I think the Albert Norman kerfuffle can be characterized as a tempest in a teapot or much ado about very little. That said, going to bat for local citizens of Greenfield, the abutters as well as the town in general, is hardly representing a “special interest” despite what Conservation Commission member Timothy Mosher says.
And Feb. 15 editorial paints Norman as some type of shadowy puppet master, a Svengali if you wish; and he doesn’t even have a degree! Of course, nothing could be further from the truth, as well as sorta silly.
What has happened though is the previous, comfortable, old-boy, inside baseball network has been challenged by the present Town Council. It has been much more amenable to citizen input, and by the way more respectful, than was so in the past.
