Letter: Thankful thoughts

I’d like to offer some thoughts on John H. Shippee Jr.’s Dec. 6 letter to the editor. I respect a person’s spiritual and religious beliefs, however, I do feel that our personal beliefs are just that — personal. Let’s be thankful that thanks are given, and not worry about who or what may have been neglected. In our busy culture, thanks are precious and I appreciate hearing them in all the wonderful ways they can be expressed. Everyone’s journey in life is their own to travel, whatever way he or she decides. If we celebrate the good we see in each other, give our support where needed as best we can, and not judge how another finds their way in life, we may just find the world a better place.
