Letter: Energy direction
I was so pleased with the article on the Gill and what it wants to do with green initiative money. Those of us who have been distressed by the very dubious push to industrialize the state of Massachusetts with massive inefficient destructive wind turbines have been saying for years that reducing the amount of energy we use in ways which people can accept is the way to go. There are, I believe, many new ways to conserve energy coming in the future but we already have the capacity greatly reduce energy use in the form of more efficient vehicles, modern insulation, modern building techniques and devices that turn off lights and engines when they are idling or not in use. I applaud the people of Gill for their wish list and the government policies which promote this kind of energy saving.
