Sunderland writer
to speak at nonfiction author series in Whately

WHATELY — The S. White Dickinson Library continues its local nonfiction author series with Saloma Miller Furlong of Sunderland today at 6 p.m.

Furlong is the author of “Why I left the Amish,” a memoir from the time she grew up in the Amish country in Ohio.

Dickinson Library hosts month-long poetry nights

WHATELY — For national poetry month, the S. White Dickinson Library is hosting a poem night on April 16 at 7 p.m.

There will be an open reading for all ages. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

Also throughout April, the library will display poems on the bulletin board display for visitors to take home. It is funded by the Whately Cultural Council.
