Last day to submit warrant articles
CONWAY — Residents have until Monday to submit agenda items for the annual town meeting.
Any items must be signed by a minimum of 10 voters and the signatures must be certified by the town clerk.
Register to vote in Conway by April 22
CONWAY — To vote in the upcoming annual town meeting and election, Conway residents who are not registered to vote must do so before 8 p.m. on April 22.
The Board of Registrars will hold special hours in the 32 Main St. town office from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on the last day.
Residents planning to register by mail must have applications postmarked before the registration deadline.
Registration is also possible any Tuesday, Thursday or Friday between 9 a.m. and noon
The town meeting will be held on May 12 with the election to follow on May 15.
Nomination papers due in Whately by April 22
WHATELY — Nomination papers for this year’s election are due by 5 p.m. on April 22 at the Center School office.
Candidates need 20 signatures from registered voters to qualify for the ballot.
There are 10 seats up for grabs.
Up for re-election are Selectman Paul Newlin, Assessor Melanie Chorak, Board of Health member Ronnie Williams, School Committee member Donald Skroski, library trustees Robert Duda and Sheila Powers and Cemetery Commissioner Lee Felton, Water Commissioner Georgeann Dufault, Elector under the Oliver Smith Will John LaSalle, and Moderator Paul M. Fleuriel Jr.
