Letter: Doing what’s right
Regardless of consequences, I admire the president’s strong stance on upholding the Constitution, that states, if I remember right, “only the Congress shall have the power to declare war ...” something that more than one president has, after spurious precedent, ignored.
Can we get this right? Act correctly? I hope so. We can only try.
I would like to thank Barack, if I may be so bold, for following in the footsteps of J.C., whom I’d considered the best president, of modern times, i.e.: my time, so far. May (what a difference being polite makes!) God bless America!
