Frontier teacher forced to resign
Investigation under way
SOUTH DEERFIELD — The Frontier Regional School District is investigating a personnel matter related to a teacher who recently resigned under pressure.
Superintendent Martha Barrett this week would not comment on the details because the investigation is ongoing.
A teacher, however, resigned this week in lieu of discharge, Barrett said.
“Any decision I make always has the students’ best interest as my top concern,” Barrett said. “I want to be very careful in protecting people’s reputation as well. Until I resolve it, there is nothing much I can comment on.”
She said she is constrained by law from talking specifically on the matter at this time.
A spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office said the state had not heard of any criminal case at the school.Deerfield Police Chief John Paciorek also said his department is not investigating.
