Assistant principal leaves Mohawk

BUCKLAND — The Mohawk Trail Regional School District is looking to hire an assistant high school principal to replace Joey Kotright-Clark for the coming school year.

At this week’s School Committee meeting, Mohawk Principal Lynn Dole briefly announced that Kotright-Clark was “moving on,” and that the district will be advertising for a new assistant principal for the Mohawk Trail middle and high schools.

When reached at home for comment, Kotright-Clark remarked, “I think what Lynn said was entirely appropriate. I’m really proud of my work there. It was just time to move on.”

Kotright-Clark of Heath has worked at Mohawk for six years, first as a supported-classroom director, becoming the school’s assistant principal in 2010.

When asked about his future plans, Kotright-Clark said, “I plan to continue my career in education administration. It was a great time (at Mohawk) and it’s time to move on.”
