Celebrate the Harvest slated for Sunday
ORANGE — It’s the 21st annual Celebrate the Harvest event this Sunday in and around Orange.
The day features a craft fair in Butterfield Park, the North Quabbin Cruisers Car show on the adjoining baseball field with 300 cars, and the multi-division Celebrate the Harvest Parade along East Main Street onto South Main and back to Butterfield Park.

The parade, which kicks off at 1, is themed “Fairytales and Myths.”
There are 25 car show classes. Dash plaques go to the first 350 entries in the car show. Many of the cars in the show roll out to be part of the Celebrate The Harvest Parade.
The OBA is also sponsoring the 6th annual pumpkin carving contest (no age limit). There’ll be trophies for winners in these categories: Funniest, Scariest, Most Original, Painted and Most Unique.
Bring your already carved/decorated pumpkins to the bandstand anytime after 9. There’s no limit to how many pumpkins you can enter. Trophies will be presented at 3.
WJDF is also sponsoring a Pumpkin Cook-Off. Entries can be any category: dessert, appetizer, snack or entrée, but it must contain pumpkin and be edible and homemade. It should be accompanied by the recipe, with enough for 12 servings (for judges). It would be best if registered by today. Bring your entry Sunday morning to Butterfield Park on the bandstand between 9 and 10. Register with WJDF by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners will be announced after the parade.
