Gas pipeline proponents to address Northfield residents Aug. 19
NORTHFIELD — Local residents will finally have their chance to pose questions to the proponents of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Expansion.
The pipeline company has agreed to address a community meeting Aug. 19 at 7 p.m., at Pioneer Valley Regional School.
Representatives of Kinder Morgan, the pipeline’s parent company, will give a short presentation before opening the floor to questions, according to Selectboard Chairman John “Jack” Spanbauer.
Town Moderator Nathan L’Etoile will moderate the discussion.
The pipeline would connect Pennsylvania to Dracut, crossing nine Franklin County towns on its way. It would traverse the southeast corner of Northfield on its way from Erving to Warwick.
