Letter: Our heroes
The recent Memorial Day had me thinking of my late husband and I’d like to pass this along.
The United States of America honors the memory of Carroll V. Mileski!
Vietnam/Korean War Veteran Carroll Mileski awarded by a grateful nation with a new American flag and military certificate in recognition of devoted and selfless consecration to the service of our country in the Armed Forces of the United States.
Dear American Hero: It’s been a long, hard road ... a road with shock and fear, and yes — despair. That road has been filled with pain and pride. Your post military life was full of disability and disappointments. However, you conquered the whole thing with determination. With sacrifices what you made for us, that road ended in triumph.
The dedication and faith of the American heros make us realize that we have great freedom in this country. Our war dead, Real Heroes, are not just DOG TAGS, they are people. Never forget—forever honor. Remember America’s Heroes! It is so important to give thanks to: active duty troops and all the veterans who dedicated their lives for the Military Services. I ask you to pray for my husband, Carroll Mileski, and for our military service members, especially for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the Country of United States.
